Another Blog & He's Still Moaning
You would think the New Year might have chilled him out a bit, especially in all the bad weather.
Anyway, if you cannot stomach anymore then please at least check out a beautiful photo of Katie.
I have been told by one of our regular visitors that I moan too much in these blogs. Of course I had a moan about this remark but have promised to do better!
There is though a lot to moan about, bad grammar, teenagers (boys normally) wearing trousers half way down their legs and showing off their pants, people talking too loudly on their mobile phones. I could go on and probably will at some later date.
Anyway, enough for now. If you remember our very popular Christmas Room 101 which got an amazing response you will be pleased to hear that coming soon on the site will be a similar feature that will give you a chance to vent your spleen – whatever that means! Details will be on the site soon.
None of my moaning would surprise Katie in the least, she got used to it over the years, and I only took her to two Southend United games!
You will see alongside this blog a photo of Katie that was taken in 2007 during our “Make a Wish” trip to London. A photographer friend of mine has kindly removed the dreaded red eye and I think you will agree it’s another iconic photo of our dear Katie.
We are fast approaching our 10,000th visitor and there will be a great prize, drawn at random, to one of you who visits the site on the day the milestone is reached. There will be more details nearer the time but all you will need to do is when you visit at the time let us have your e-mail address.
I am delighted to say that many of you are able to come to the cricket on the 25th of July and please spread the word. We have some new ideas for this year, one of which is Robbie’s team trying to win the game. I would point out that Robbie has already started recruiting players via an advert in the local press. Shocking!
Time for a New Year’s joke:- Shakespeare walks into a pub and is told by the barman “You’re Bard” - Bang goes one of my New Year’s resolutions!
Incidentally, if you really want to know “ The spleen is an organ in the body near the stomach. In European medicine from the Middle Ages until the nineteenth century, the spleen was thought to be the source of the "humours" that caused the emotion of anger. Therefore one could expel anger by "venting the spleen".
Until next time....
