13th Blog Unlucky For Some
Welcome to the 13th blog which of course could be unlucky for some. Actually for those of you who have read these blogs you will probably think yourself extremely unlucky anyway.
I hope your New Year’s Resolutions are now only a distant memory and that you are happy that you at least gave it a go! Those exercise bikes make great plant stands and I am sure the cross trainer will fit in the garage somewhere –or there’s always Ebay!
Now we have a date for the cricket, 25th July in case you have forgotten, we are getting some ideas together. The thinking is a day geared towards the ladies with some pampering etc along the way. Not quite Ascot but maybe those hats you only wear for weddings may get an airing!
We were pleased that the Southend Echo printed a Friends of Katie update last week and it was also in the Southend Standard. There is, as they say no such thing a bad publicity. The article is still on both sites; just do a search under Katie Hart.
As we approach our 10,000th visit to our website we will let you know the day it will happen. It is then up to you to visit the site on that day and leave us your e-mail address and the 10,000th visitor will win a great prize. It won’t be a Southend United season ticket I promise – we certainly couldn’t give that away at the moment!
As what would have been Katie’s 17th birthday approaches, 5th February, and the anniversary of her death too then obviously the next few weeks will be quite difficult. Of course the 5th of February is Katie’s birthday and always will be and we, as a family, intend to make it a day she would have loved.
A quick moan as this would not be complete without one, and this is not this week’s joke. Did anyone notice that a job centre in Norfolk told a Hertfordshire recruitment agency boss she could not request "reliable and hard-working" applicants because such an advert could be "offensive" to unreliable people.
I am, at this point, unusually speechless.
Anyway, here is this week’s joke to finish off. Hedgehogs - why can't they just share the hedge?
