Little Havens Visit
Katie's Mum, Dad, Step Dad Rob, Alison, Toby and Charlie made an emotional, yet incredibly uplifting, visit to Little Havens.
The visit was arranged so we could see where some of our £25,000 had been spent. Head of Care at Little Haven, Lauren Summers, showed us around the impressive improvements made at the hospice thanks to our fund raising.
The bathrooms have been refurbished and the two extra length beds have been a godsend for Little Havens.
Work is ongoing to improve bedrooms at the hospice and Lauren was sure, having known Katie, that the improvements would certainly meet her approval. We took photos which we will have on here soon.
It was so nice for us to see members of the hospice who we had not seen since Katie's passing and who were happy to see us and remembered Katie in a way that made us so proud.
Saturday 8th May is the hospice's Service of Thankgsiving where families who have lost children are invited to attend. This year 230 family members will be in attendance.
