Coffee Mornings - £480 Raised
£480 is raised for Little Havens and the Forget-Me-Not charities
A great effort as friends & colleagues put on pounds but give pounds too!
Jo started her event at home and then children, Mums and staff at St Mary's C of E school in Woodham (Katie's old junior school) finished off the event in style!
Despie a number of staff being away Nick's colleagues did a remarkable job of eating the many home made cakes that had been bought into the office. There were so many that the event developed from a "Coffee Morning" to an "Afternoon Tea". £270 was raised which will be split between the two causes.
Little Havens wanted everyone to support their Little Havens Birthday by organising events to do with cakes; a coffee morning at the office with colleagues, sell cakes in school or an evening at home with family and friends.
It doesn't even have to be on the day - they just want you to join them and be part of something they are very proud of.
Little Havens running costs amount to £2.3 million a year with the majority of funding coming from voluntary donations.
The "Forget-Me-Not" charity that aims to create and maintain a comprehensive network of support services for bereaved parents, their families and friends who have experienced the loss of a baby during pregnancy or at birth.
