Katie's Birthday

On February 5th Katie would have been 19 and her immediate family will get together to celebrate this day in a way she would love.

Each and every day is difficult without her but some days are just worse than others. We hope you'll spare her a thought on the day.

 EACH - Their Katie

You may have heard that The Duchess of Cambridge has just become honorary patron of EACH (The East Anglian Children's Hospices)

I went onto their website and there I found an extraordinarily moving piece on a five year old girl who died from a brain tumour - her name, Katie. Have a look if you get a chance - it's inspiring and sad all at the same time.

 £800 Raised!

After all the money has been collected a total of almost £800 was raised from the ridiculously generous colleagues of Katie's Dad.

The money came from their Christmas Raffle, an auction, donating instead of sending Christmas cards and other donations. This all means that our latest target of £50,000 gets ever closer, only £1,966 to go!

Our friends at Little Baddow Cricket Club have advised us that the date for this year's match will be Sunday 8th July.

 The Katie Hart-Greenfield Award

Katie's Mum seen pictured here with the first winner of Katie's award Taylor Jacques.

Taylor who impressed the teachers at St Mary's by his hard work, positive attitude, politeness, kindness towards others, commitment to school activities both in school time and extra-curricular activities received his award back in July.
